“Balancing work and family life is easier said than done. It’s hard adjusting to the reality that my time is no longer completely my own. Even in the chaos of a full on work schedule over the last few years I knew I would always be guaranteed some down time each day to unwind…even it was only to sleep!”
We understand that not all mamas want to sit around discussing nappy rash and the like. We have started hosting mama meet-ups to bring like-minded mothers together to laugh about the struggles and beauty of motherhood, to talk business, to network and to share our dreams openly, honestly and with a sense of humour.
We shared pastries and coffee recently with three amazing ladies and their little ones in Leona’s home.
Ciara O’Halloran | stylist & musician
Ciara is the sweetest mama to the most gorgeous little blue eyed girl called Ailbhe. She is also an amazing freelance wedding, interiors, food and lifestyle stylist AND musician. The talent simply oozes out of her.
“It’s very important for me to show Ailbhe that pursuing what you love is a worthy and admirable goal, even if it means I have to spend time away from her. I hope it will inspire her to seek out her own adventures and do what it takes to live a happy and fulfilled life when she’s older, whatever that might entail…”
Cliona O’Connor | lifestyle blogger
Cliona makes us want to be a better version of ourselves. She is super healthy, super gorgeous & a super mama to four incredible kids. She makes us laugh out loud and we love her lifestyle blog where she discusses the reality of mamahood.
“There is the constant struggle between being the “old” you and doing the things pre-buba that you loved and being a mama. You gotta’ keep the show on the road…even when you feel like curling up in a ball and crying/sleeping/bawling”
Cathy O’Donoghue | vintage boutique owner, stylist & lifestyle blogger
Cathy has the cutest threenager called Nancy who helps her out with her gorgeous online vintage store, Turquoise Flamingo. Cathy also runs dreamy styling & wedding workshops and blogs about everything from interiors to vintage fashion. Her Instagram is also one of our all-time favourite accounts.
“I could sum mamahood up as: sleepless nights when all you want to do is sleep and the nights they’re deep in dreamland, all you want to do is wake them up! Being a mama also means loving someone so much that even their farts seem cute”
We are constantly being inspired and learning so much from other women every day,

Growing tiny humans is pretty exhausting but how lucky are we to get to fall in love with a human we haven’t even met yet. We chose to celebrate Nessa’s first pregnancy with a gorgeous baby shower. In a beautiful cosy venue on a winter’s evening we lit lots of candles, ate lots of cheese & celebrated Nessa’s tiny human.
Bra off, hair down, belly out. You are loved little one.
Emie-Rose arrived two weeks early last December and despite forever saying that I wasn’t the type to have kids, I adore her more than anything in this world. I am exhausted. I take one day at a time. I am enjoying this adventure. I am hopelessly in love.

Tiny Hurley Invitations | Chapter
Be picky with your clothes, friends & time.
Friendship isn’t about who you’ve know the longest. It’s about who walked into your life, said “I’m here for you,” and proved it. We shot these images ages ago with two of our girls – Dee & Sabrina. We were both pregnant & both thought we would hate how we looked in them but we love them. We just look happy.
Dee is creative director at chapter. Seriously, we have never met anyone with a creative eye like Dee. She is incredible & we love her style – personal, graphics & interiors.
Sabrina is owner & chief hair stylist at kopper hair studio & she inspires us with her energy and passion for her work. Her love for life is infectious.
We are all dreamers.
Find your tribe & love them hard.

Never let it be said that to dream is a waste of one’s time. For dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams we plants the seeds of our future.
Dreaming Always | a place where sleep deprived mamas come to dream… We have created Dreaming Always as a platform, both offline and online, where creative & sleep-deprived mamas can meet. Our hope is that Dreaming Always will bring like-minded women together to laugh about the struggles and beauty of motherhood, to develop our businesses, to network and to share our dreams openly, honestly and with a sense of humour. We have only been active on Instagram so far as it took way longer than we expected for us to get this website ready. It might have had something to do with two little girls being born and life just taking a different direction but we have finally launched it and we are delighted that you have taken the time to visit. From time to time we will feature styled photo-shoots, inspiration for other mamas, the places we love to visit and lots in between. We are planning mama meet-ups around Ireland over the next few months where like-minded mamas can get together for coffee so keep an eye on our Instagram for details. It give us the escape we crave from time to time when everything gets too much. We are simply attempting to make this motherhood business an easier and more enjoyable adventure for all involved.
